Lesli Groshong, DVM
Colorado State University, 1992
Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine

Dr. Groshong joined the Humane Society of Boulder Valley in 1994. Her professional interests include all aspects of shelter medicine and preventative health care. Since 1998, she has organized spay and neuter clinics in Mexico to help combat pet-overpopulation and disease with the organization VIDAS. In her free time she's enjoying Colorado with her husband and 2 children or at home with a Mayan Jungle dog, a 'goofy newfie', an old tortoiseshell cat, 2 Morgan horses and many foster kittens.


Jenelle Vail, DVM
Colorado State University, 2003
Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine

After graduation, Dr. Vail practiced veterinary medicine at a small animal practice in Longmont. She joined the Humane Society of Boulder Valley in 2004. Her areas of interest include oncology, animal behavior and internal medicine. Dr. Vail was recently named "Up-and-Coming Veterinarian of the Year" for 2006 by the Colorado Veterinary Medical Association!


Cristina Gutierrez, DVM
Colorado State University, 2005
Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine

Dr. Gutierrez joined the Humane Society of Boulder Valley in 1998, before attending veterinary school. She is co-founder and Treasurer of VIDAS (International Veterinarians Dedicated to Animal Health), an organization that provides free veterinary care in Mexico. She enjoys her work helping animals on both sides of the border. Her areas of interest include internal medicine, pain management and acupuncture. Dr. Gutierrez is married with 2 daughters, and has 2 dogs and 1 cat all adopted from HSBV.


Jennifer Bolser, DVM
Colorado State University, 2004
Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine

Dr. Bolser received a BA from the University of Colorado at Boulder in Biochemistry and Biology. After veterinary school, she completed a one year internship in small animal medicine and surgery at The Animal Medical Center in New York City. She joined the Humane Society of Boulder Valley in 2005. Her areas of interest include emergency medicine, surgery, ophthalmology, exotics and she is certified in veterinary acupuncture. She enjoys spending her free time with her husband and entertaining their two active (crazy!) retrievers.


Robyn Read, DVM
University of Minnesota, 2006
Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine

Dr. Read graduated from the University of Minnesota in 2006. Her professional interests include surgery, emergency medicine, dermatology, and internal medicine. Prior to vet school she was an assistant volleyball coach for the CU "Buffs". In her free time Dr. Read can often be found hiking in the mountains with her 3 dogs, or at home with her 5 cats.
