Thank you for your incredible support of the animals and patience as we navigate this high demand for our adoption program resources. As our community begins to open to the public, we have also decided to open our Adoption Centers for browsing visitation by appointment and are excited to welcome you back!
We are adhering to social distancing and other health guidelines to keep you and our staff safe. To limit the number of people in the building, we will be scheduling potential adopters for one-hour windows to come and browse our adoptable pet population, and offering appointments daily starting at 11:00am, with the last appointment opportunity at 4:00pm.
Between the hours of 11:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. call 303.442.4030 x390 to inquire about scheduling an appointment.
We will no longer be using our Adoption Questionnaires to start your search for a new companion animal with us. Instead, we ask that you view the animals we currently have available for adoption on our website and call to make an appointment. We are offering clients the option to place one animal on hold during the phone call scheduling an appointment and clients will be permitted to meet two animals during their appointment window. Before you walk through our Adoption Centers, we will ask that you wash your hands or apply hand sanitizer, and wear a face mask for the duration of your visit.
If you decide to adopt, we will complete your adoption with payment and an e-signature to make everything official! We ask that adoption fees are paid using a debit or credit card.
As we transition from our Virtual Adoption model, we want to assure you that any clients who have begun the counseling and adoption process for a new companion will still be offered completion of these services. Our Adoption Team is dedicated to following through with any commitments of adoptions currently in progress.
As always the Humane Society of Boulder Valley remains dedicated to our Satisfaction Guaranteed policy; if you adopt an animal from HSBV and discover that you are not compatible due to behavior concerns or medical issues, or lifestyle fit, you may return your pet to HSBV.
