Lisa is dedicated to strengthening the bond between humans and animals. She understands that adopting an animal is a life-changing decision and strives to provide clients with the tools they need to start their journey on the best possible path.
Volunteering with a community dog club ignited Lisa’s passion for animal behavior. She later worked as a trainer in shelters in the San Francisco Bay area and founded her own business, My Well Mannered Mutt. Through her work, she especially enjoys counseling new adopters, teaching classes and supporting volunteers.
Guided by a deep appreciation for the joy and humor pets bring into our lives, Lisa specializes in helping adopters overcome adjustment challenges. Her approach focuses on creating practical, evidence-based solutions to support smooth transitions and enrich relationships.
Lisa holds a MSc degree from London School of Economics and Political Science and a Certificate in Training and Counseling (CTC) from the San Francisco SPCA Academy for Dog Trainers. Outside of work, Lisa is a reading literacy tutor with AmeriCorps and enjoys hiking around Colorado with her husband, tween and Labrador.
