You can donate online or over the phone through Cars for Charity. For online processing, fill out the Donor Information Sheet, then locate, transfer and mail your title to:

You will receive a call from the tow service to arrange pick up of your donation.

What happens to my car?
Your vehicle will be assessed for the correct sales venue that will yield the best sale price. Most vehicles are sold through wholesale auctions; older, damaged, mechanically impaired vehicles are often sold directly to dismantlers or recycles for parts. If there is something special about your vehicle, please let Cars for Charity know. Every dollar gained from the sale of your vehicle goes directly to the Humane Society of Boulder Valley.

How much money actually goes to the Humane Society of Boulder Valley?
Cars for Charity
does not take a percentage of the sale. An admin fee ($32-$62) is invoiced and 100% of the net sale proceeds are returned to the charity. Cars for Charity is a 501c3 nonprofit that is also a licensed wholesale used vehicle dealer; Colorado license #3429.

My car doesn’t run; can I still donate it?
Yes! Cars for Charity accepts cars, trucks, boats, planes, motorcycles, RV’s, RV trailers, and even some farm equipment- running or not, no emissions certificate is necessary. We do not accept vehicles that have been dismantled or had their parts removed.

Do I have to pay for towing?
No! Towing is free!

How long will it take for Cars for Charity to pick up my vehicle?
After Cars for Charity receives your Donor Information Sheet, tow representatives will arrange a convenient pick up time and location with you, generally within 1 week. Bad weather, heavy volume, and weekends may cause additional delays. Need to arrange a more immediate pick up? Call 720-387-5124  and let them know.

How long will it take for the Humane Society of Boulder Valley to receive the proceeds of my vehicle sale?
The typical time frame from the beginning of your submission of the Donor Information Sheet to the distribution of revenue of your vehicle sale to your charity is approximately 4 weeks. Please note, there are instances where Cars for Charity needs additional clarification on your vehicle’s title for the auction.
