Payment and Deferred Payment Options
Care Credit and Scratch Pay
To help guardians with planning and managing their finances for their beloved pets’ veterinary services, the Veterinary Clinic at the Humane Society of Boulder Valley accepts both CareCredit® and Scratch Pay.
CareCredit payment plans are a convenient alternative to credit cards, cash or checks. CareCredit allows you to pay over a period of time often without incurring interest charges instead of a lump sum prior to treatment. With CareCredit, you can get either a no-interest payment plan or an extended low fixed-interest payment plan every time you use it. Most credit cards only offer special or low interest plans for short periods or upon sign up. This program is available to qualifying individuals, and our clinic receptionists will gladly help with the credit application process. Not only can you use CareCredit for routine check-ups, vaccinations, food and other supplies for your pet, but it’s a good idea to have CareCredit on hand for emergency or unplanned care. CareCredit can be used to pay for any or all of your pets’ services.
Scratch Pay is a simple way to pay later or pay over time. You can easily check your rates for 0 – 12 month installments. The process is simple, takes about two minutes, and simply checking will NOT affect your credit rate or FICO score. Check your rates from your smart phone by visiting scratchpay.com or click the button below. Either way – there are no hidden fees or retroactive interest charges. Once approved, you’ll have a full 7 days to spend your Scratch Pay funds. This means you can check your rates today even if your pet will be in our hospital for a few days.
Financial Assistance for Qualifying Families
The veterinary clinic offers the SHARE Program, which provides discounts on medical care (including spay/neuter surgeries) to clients who qualify as low income households. In this way, we can ensure that companion animals receive proper medical care and remain in their homes with their guardians. This program is limited to families living in Boulder or Broomfield counties. To see if you qualify for the SHARE program, bring proof of residence and income to our veterinary clinic during regular business hours.
