Introducing the Faces of Puttinâ On The Leash 2025

Whiskey
Whiskey, a.k.a. âThe Cow-Spotter,â received shelter and training services through HSBV, and joined our family six years ago after being transferred to HSBV as a puppy. With five different working breeds running around in his head, he is definitely a busy guy! Whiskey is serious, earnest and so very eager to please. Thanks, Aunt Millie, for showing him how to be such a great dog!

Millie
Millie arrived at HSBV from Oklahoma, and we adopted her in 2018. Despite her tough start to life, she is incredibly friendly and trusting with everyone. She loves performing tricks, and even at nine years old, she’s still energetic and quick when she’s not sunbathing. After much debate about her possible breeds, a DNA test revealed a mix of seven different breeds. Sheâs a true mutt, so her breed is affectionally now known as âMillie.â

Ivy
Stealing the hearts of everyone she encounters, Ivy P. Iverson III met her guardians while they were on vacation in Mexico in 2021. Her favorite pastime is bunny patrol, and although she weighs almost the same as the bunnies, itâs a rewarding job. Sheâs game for any adventure, as long as her backpack is close when she gets tired. Sheâs the smallest of the bunch but definitely runs the show. Neither Whiskey nor Millie can take their place on the couch without her permission. DNA says she’s 50% chihuahua, and we think she’s 100% perfect.
