Gwen Moyer, CPDT-KA

Certified Animal Trainer

Gwen received an education in Animal Science studies and a B.S. in Hospitality Management from the University of Delaware. Her previous experience includes internships at various veterinary hospitals, running a dog walking/sitting business, and volunteering extensively at dog rescues throughout New York City. While her original post-college path took a turn into the corporate world of event planning, she finally made it back to working with animals in 2018 through a rigorous apprenticeship with one of NYC’s top dog trainers and behavior consultants. She officially gained her trainer certification with the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers in 2019.

After half a decade of helping dogs and their humans thrive in the densest city in America, Gwen felt it was time for some more sunshine and nature. She set off on an extended road trip adventure with her dog and decided she wanted to move to Colorado in 2023. She now runs her own private training business and works part time as a Training & Behavior Consultant at the Humane Society of Boulder Valley.

Gwen is passionate about helping all animals find their confidence and helping human-dog teams find their balance and harmony through force-free, positive reinforcement training methods. She shares her home with her fluffy mutt and trusty training assistant, Zuzu, and can be found hiking or volunteering at Zuma’s Rescue Ranch on her days off.
