Originally from the Midwest, Kathy grew up in central Illinois and graduated from Butler University in Indianapolis. She got into training and behavior shortly after adopting her first rescue dog. Kathy graduated from Karen Pryor Academy in 2015 and focused on helping shelter dogs, and shortly after earned her CPDT-KA certification. She earned the incredible opportunity to relocate to Colorado in 2022 to join the HSBV team.
Kathy is passionate about science-backed training methods and has a special love for the world of cooperative care training for veterinary handling for all species.
She currently shares her home with her two rescue dogs, Cooper and Roux.
