Andy is a certified trainer and counselor and graduated from the Academy for Dog Trainers. Upon graduation Andy began work as a contractor for Humane Society of Boulder Valley, where she volunteered for over 20 years and completed a Training and Behavior Internship, conducting hundreds of private one on one training and behavior consultations for clients and their dogs. In late 2018 Andy moved to Washington DC where she was immediately offered a contracting position in the same capacity at Humane Rescue Alliance the DC Humane Society. This position has given her added expertise in working with a diverse clientele who live and work in tight urban environments with their dogs, which obviously present a myriad of complications.
Andy is the owner of Merry Mutts, LLC and utilizes behavior modification techniques based only on science and learning theory. Andy will work with you and your pup to tackle any issues and foster your relationship with your pet simultaneously. Andy is so excited to partner with The Humane Society of Boulder Valley once again to provide virtual consultations.
